Mozammel Khan, MSc. Eng., CITP
President & CEOMozammel Khan has over 21 years of Electronic System design & management experience in business development, marketing and strategic planning. Prior to founding MDI-Canada, he was Engineering Manager of Elysium Broadband Inc, led a team to build the next generation VDSL based Broadband system. Mr. Khan was Team leader & Sr. Hardware development engineer for various companies including Nortel Networks, Megatel, Banksoft-Canada & Lava Computers, involved in develop and deploy of different electronic systems. He served as Hardware Design engineer and oversaw international marketing roles for various companies, such as Ericssion Telecom & Cewe Instruments AB in Sweden as well as Pulser Inc. in Taiwan. He worked for Legio East Corp. (Swedish joint venture Company) and held the position of Electronic Engineer & Production Manager. At Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, he worked as Industrial researcher, where he developed ASIC blocks implemented in FPGA uses in telecom industries. He has published number of papers in the field of Electronic system design & Business management. Mr. Khan holds Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering, Postgraduate diploma in Industrial Management, Masters Certificate in Project Management. He is also graduated in International Trade and received Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation from Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) Canada, International Association of Trade Training Organization (IATTO). He holds IEEE, BCS, FITT, CIRA membership.
Dr. Abdus Salam
Sr. Business ConsultantDr. Salam has over 18 years of sales, and marketing, teaching, research, experience within various technological, multinational-medical, and engineering organizations. Before joining MDI Canada, he was with Siemens Bangladesh Ltd. as General Manager, Medical Systems Division. During his assumption of duties in Siemens, he earned a strong reputation in the health care sector and soon became indispensable for Siemens Bangladesh. Prior to Siemens he was with Citech Ltd., a multinational apple Macintosh computer firm, responsible for software & hardware development. He was also Director of Mactron, an application packages training center of the firm. He is equipped with a background that highlights the ability to create business, harness, and maintain market share, in addition to developing and managing projects with strong leadership acumen. He also did consultancy work in the International Centre for Dihorreal Disease and Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR, B) which was funded by Board of Science & Technology for International Development (BOSTID), Washington D.C, USA. He holds PhD. in Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He is fluent in French, Russian, and Hindi.
Kazi R Hossain
Technical ConsultantKazi Hossain is a dedicated member of the MDI-Canada’s Design & Technology team. As a Technical Consultant, Kazi provides analysis, design, development and delivery of Computer network & software solutions. He brings creative ideas to MDI’s design and technology development projects including sales, and information technology. Kazi has more than 14 years of experience as a Network engineer with various projects in Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone board at Sumitomo/NEC corporation (Japan) and with Emirates Telecommunication Corporation, Dubai, UAE in Fujitsu switching network management centre. He also designed and developed various communications software for Public Telephone switching Network. He helds Network specialist position at FGI Canada for global LAN and WAN system. Kazi holds a Master degree in Electronics and Microsoft Certified System engineer.
R. Monir
ConsultantR. Monir has eight years experience in marine engineering operation, maintenance, modification, and installation of heavy marine equipments, dry-docking and shipyard. He has worked with various types of marine engine such as MAN B&W, Mitsubishi Akasaka, Bazan MAN, Pielstick Vasa Wartsila. In addition, he also has experience in hull/tank construction, and inspection, with proficiency in the areas of electrical, water, fuel, lubrication, power plant, motor control, engineering layout, ordering and purchasing of marine equipments and spares. Mr. Monir holds a degree in Marine Engineering from Hunter Institute of Technology, Newcastle University , Australia. Professional marine engineering registration from Canada , First Class Engineer (Motor ship) Certificate of Competency (STCW'95) from Transport Canada , and from Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). He holds the membership of MIE-Australia, CMIE-Canada, AMIMarEst-U.K
Saeed Jalali
ConsultantSaeed Jalali has 15 years experience in technical assessment, quality control and design in electrical power plants and refinery industries in different countries in Middle-East. Mr. Saeed holds a degree in Electricall engineering. Before joining with MDI Canada, he worked with Global Refinery Equipments (GRE), Toronto as consultant involved in various projects in industrial automation, control & communication systems, oil and gas refinery equipments, and also responsible for international market development.
